Regular Season Round 30: Chongqing - Fujian 114-106

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when tenth ranked Chongqing (12-16) beat 9th ranked Fujian (12-16) in Lanling 114-106 on Friday. Chongqing dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to Fujian's 58. Center Mindaugas Kupsas (217-91, agency: Octagon Europe) notched a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds (on 16-of-18 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and American-Georgian guard Thaddus McFadden (188-87, college: Fairmont St., agency: Higher Vision Sports) supported him with 26 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Chongqing players scored in double figures. Chongqing's coach Yiding Li used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 37 points (!!!) by swingman Wenbo Yang (196-90) did not help to save the game for Fujian. American guard Antoine Mason (191-92, college: Auburn) added 27 points and 7 rebounds. Chongqing moved-up to ninth place, which they share with defeated Fujian. Fujian lost third consecutive game.
