The game between eighth ranked Henan (15-13) and 14th ranked Hefei (3-25) in Henan on Friday ended with biggest points difference. Henan outscored guests from Nanjin 119-98. Henan dominated down low during the game scoring 84 of its points in the paint compared to Hefei's 48. U.S. Virgin Islands forward Rakeem Christmas (206-91, college: Syracuse) notched 23 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and American Frank Gaines (191-90, college: IPFW) supported him with 22 points and 6 rebounds. Henan's coach JianXin Li felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 30 points and 7 rebounds by American guard Dwayne Lathan (190-89, college: Indiana St.) did not help to save the game for Hefei. Forward Mingliang Dou (195-98) added 10 points and 14 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Henan have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Hebei X. Loser Hefei keeps the fourteenth position with 25 games lost.
