The game in Sucre was also quite interesting. Third ranked La Salle CBBA (7-4) played at the court of 5th ranked Amistad (4-6). La Salle CBBA did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 88-71 on Saturday. La Salle CBBA had a 35-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. Amistad was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Uruguayan Miguel Barriola (191-90) fired a double-double by scoring 32 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. American forward Joe Efese (198-90, college: Cent.Conn.St.) chipped in 20 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Tirrell Brown (198-93, college: Ouachita Baptist) produced a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds and Belizean forward Devin Daly (195-94, college: L.Superior) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. La Salle CBBA have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with CAN Oruro. Amistad lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with six games lost.
