Regular Season Round 15: UPDF - KCCA Lions 69-68

Bottom-ranked UPDF managed to get a fifth victory, breaking the series of six consecutive losses. This time they edged tenth-ranked KCCA Lions 69-68. KCCA Lions were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Felix Mukunzi (193) who saved his team from a defeat with 26 points and 9 rebounds. Center Moses Muhumuza contributed with 22 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American guard Brian Waters (188-85, college: Elon) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and forward Emmanuel Odongkara added 17 points in the effort for KCCA Lions. KCCA Lions' coach Bernice Akunda tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. UPDF (5-16) moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Charging Rhinos. KCCA Lions lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the tenth position with 15 games lost. UPDF will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. KCCA Lions will play against Ndejje Angels (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
