Regular Season Round 3: Caballos - Atletico Nacional 92-72

Very important is a road loss of Aguilas (2-2) against Caballos (1-2) on Wednesday night. Visiting Aguilas were crushed by Caballos in Aguadulce 92-72. Caballos players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Aguilas were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for naturalized American point guard CJ Rodriguez (188-94, college: S.Nazarene) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Naturalized Puerto Rican Nate Butler Lind (198-89, college: TCU) helped adding 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Four Caballos players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American swingman Lovell Cook (201-90, college: New Orleans) with 19 points and Jonathan King (193-90, college: Abil.Christian) scored 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Caballos will play against Toros (#6) in David in the next round. Aguilas will play at home against Correcaminos (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
