Rather expected game when Recy Saint-Martin (0-2) was defeated at home by Orchesien BC (1-0) 68-61 on Saturday. Orchesien BC dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Recy Saint-Martin's 28. They outrebounded Recy Saint-Martin 41-23 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Lithuanian Giedrius Staniulis (205-91) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and Jamaican Ricardo Alliman (201-87, college: Cedarville) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. Alliman is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side Nigerian-American swingman Ebuka Anyaorah (193-90, college: N.C.Central) responded with 18 points and point guard Julien Sauret (184-81) scored 13 points and 6 assists. Orchesien BC will face SO Maritime Boulogne (#9) in Boulogne-sur-Mer in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Recy Saint-Martin will play on the road against Saint-Quentin (#1) and hope to win that game.
