Regular Season Round 1: Borea - Rahoveci 85-101

An interesting game was played in Peja where Rahoveci (#6) beat host Borea (#2) with 16-point difference 101-85 on Saturday evening. Rahoveci forced 32 Borea turnovers. Arian Qollaku stepped up with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds for the winners and American forward James Stanback (, college: Camden County) chipped in 29 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Rahoveci players scored in double figures. At the losing side Canadian Robert Myles (, college: GPRC) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and Albanian Beqe Kovaci (196-93) scored 18 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Borea's coach Hekuran Husaj rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Rahoveci will meet at home Bashkimi (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Borea will play against Prizreni and hope to win that game.
