Regular Season Round 1: Boras - Uppsala 113-83

There was no surprise when Uppsala Basket (0-1) was crushed on the road by Boras Basket (2-0) 113-83 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Boras Basket. Uppsala Basket was better in second period 33-30. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Uppsala Basket 37-24 including 28 on the defensive glass. Boras Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Uppsala Basket's players. American forward Mike Moore (203-94, college: Mount Olive) fired 29 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. His fellow American import guard Marcus Tyus (185-94, college: Omaha) chipped in 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Boras Basket players scored in double figures. Boras Basket's coach Henrik Svensson felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Swingman Axel Nordstrom (193-91, agency: Dynamics Global Management) produced 20 points and 6 rebounds and Nathan Dawit (192-94) added 22 points respectively for lost side. Boras Basket will face Wetterbygden (#5) in Huskvarna in the next round. Uppsala Basket will play at home against BC Lulea and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
