Regular Season Round 2: Amicale - Sparta 81-60

Very expected game when Sparta (0-2) was smashed by Amicale (2-0) in Steinsel 81-60 on Saturday. Amicale dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Sparta's 34. They outrebounded Sparta 41-30 including 31 on the defensive glass. American forward Chris Reyes (201-94, college: Pepperdine) notched 27 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international power forward Yann Wolff (200-94) supported him with 8 points and 16 rebounds. Even 14 points and 7 rebounds by the former international Dean Gindt (201-91) did not help to save the game for Sparta. Point guard Philippe Arendt (187-98) added 11 points for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Amicale will meet at home Residence (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sparta will play against Musel Pikes in Stadrbredimus and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
