Regular Season Round 1: Fukushima - Sendai 89ers 79-72

Fukushima used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Sendai 79-72 on Saturday night. Sendai 89ers were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated also this game. Quite impressive performance for center Chris Brady (208-95, college: Monmouth) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 17 rebounds. Power forward Evan Ravenel (204-89, college: Ohio St.) contributed with 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Five Fukushima players scored in double figures. Forward Tyler Harris (208-93, college: Auburn) answered with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 14 rebounds and 4 assists and center Daniel Miller (211-91, college: Georgia Tech) added 4 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Sendai 89ers. Sendai 89ers' coach Dai Oketani tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Fukushima will face again Sendai 89ers (#6) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
