Aguilas used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from 60-42. Aguilas dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Universitarias' 28. Guard Maritzenia Bedoya notched a double-double by scoring 10 points, 18 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and center Angelica Racine supported her with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Even 8 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists by Hermione Hicks did not help to save the game for Universitarias. Monica Henao added 8 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Aguilas' next round opponent will be Amazonas (#4) and it may be quite challenging game. Universitarias will play against Correcaminos and hope to win that game.
