Regular Season Round 3: Besancon - Feurs EF 74-79

Besancon (2-1) recorded a loss at the home court. Hosts were defeated by Feurs EF (2-1) 79-74. Strangely Besancon outrebounded Feurs EF 46-22 including a 20-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for point guard Louis Prolhac (175-91) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Sammy Girma (203-89, college: Cochise CC) helped adding 15 points. Feurs EF's coach Julien Cortey allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Lithuanian forward Rokas Uzas (202-88) with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds and naturalized Congolese center Valentin Mukuna (207-93) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Five Besancon players scored in double figures. Feurs EF will play against Souffelweyersheim (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Besancon will play against Kaysersberg and hopes to get back on the winning track.
