Regular Season Round 2: Aguilas - Correcaminos 50-53

A very close game took place in between Correcaminos and Aguilas. Correcaminos (2-1) got a very close victory on the road over Aguilas (1-3). Correcaminos managed to escape with a 3-point win 53-50 on Sunday evening. Correcaminos forced 25 Aguilas turnovers. Veronica Vega (-90) had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 20 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international Yomaira Vargas chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Guard Maritzenia Bedoya responded with 5 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Danna Jackson scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Aguilas' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Correcaminos will meet Universitarias (#6) in the next round. Aguilas will play against Amazonas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
