Regular Season Round 1: Iwate Big Bulls - Kagoshima 99-86

Very important is a road loss of Kagoshima (0-2) against Iwate Big Bulls (2-0) on Sunday night. Visiting Kagoshima was defeated by Iwate Big Bulls in Iwate 99-86. Iwate Big Bulls outrebounded Kagoshima 40-25 including 32 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American Titus Robinson (201-90, college: Buffalo) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Yuta Kusano (185-97) contributed with 26 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Point guard Atomu Yamada (179-98) answered with 27 points (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and Ibuki Fukuda added 18 points in the effort for Kagoshima. Four Kagoshima players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Iwate Big Bulls' next round opponent will be Saitama Broncos (#9) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Kagoshima will play against Gifu Swoops and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
