TalTech used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Liepaja 99-82. TalTech made 19-of-20 charity shots (95.0 percent) during the game. TalTech outrebounded BK Liepaja 33-21 including 16 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. The best player for the winners was Estonian point guard Norman Kabin (188-97, agency: BeoBasket) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 8 rebounds, 10 assists and 6 steals. American forward Levi Giese (206-90, college: Lafayette, agency: Blacktop Management) chipped in 20 points and 9 rebounds. Giese is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four TalTech players scored in double figures. TalTech's coach Gert Kullamae allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Justin Johnson (188-88, college: Concordia Irvine) produced 33 points (!!!) and 8 assists and his fellow American import forward Taylor Bessick (206, college: Iona) added 21 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. TalTech will have a break next round. BK Liepaja will play at home against Jekabpils (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
