But Gipuzkoa was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Madrid 76-60 on Sunday night. The game was mostly controlled by Baloncesto Fuenlabrada. Gipuzkoa was better in fourth quarter 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Guard Alex Llorca (192-89) stepped up and scored 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and British power forward Daniel Clark (210-88) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. Four Baloncesto Fuenlabrada players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Garrett Nevels (188-92, college: Hawaii) responded with 8 points and 4 assists and power forward Miquel Salvo-Llambrich (205-94) scored 6 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Baloncesto Fuenlabrada will face Unicaja Malaga (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Gipuzkoa will play against Zaragoza and hope to win that game.
