Regular Season Round 1: Young Angels - SBS Ostrava 53-51

Everything went according to plan in Kosice where Slovakian Young Angels (2-0) edged Czech SBS Ostrava (0-2) 53-51 on Wednesday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Young Angels forced 19 SBS Ostrava turnovers. Martina Machalova (172-0) stepped up and scored 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and American guard Samantha Logic (175-92, college: Iowa, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side Serbian point guard Ines Corda (169-95) responded with 13 points and 8 rebounds and Slovakian Lucia Hadacova (185-95) scored 7 points and 10 rebounds. SBS Ostrava's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Young Angels will face Tsmoki-Minsk at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. SBS Ostrava will play against PINKK-Pecsi (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
