The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Triglav (0-1) in Kranj on Thursday night. Hosts were rolled over by Celje (1-0) 83-52. The game without a history. Celje led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Triglav's 28. Celje forced 19 Triglav turnovers and outrebounded them 40-24 including a 18-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Rangie Bessard (185-96, college: Wichita St.) fired 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Her fellow American import center Chatrice White (190-96, college: Florida St.) chipped in 9 points and 10 rebounds. Four Celje players scored in double figures. Guard Urska Zibert (174-93) produced 20 points and 5 assists and Maja Jakobcic (184-97) added 9 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Celje is looking forward to face Montana 2003 at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Triglav will play against Banovici and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
