Zaragoza used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from San Sebastian 76-73 on Thursday night. Gipuzkoa was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 19-14 charge of Zaragoza, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was the former international center Fran Vazquez (209-83) who scored 12 points. Montenegrin power forward Nemanja Radovic (208-91, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. Montenegrin center Blagota Sekulic (210-82) produced 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Ukrainian forward Vyacheslav Bobrov (203-92) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Zaragoza will face Burgos (#7) on the road in the next round. Gipuzkoa will play against Baskonia (#6) in Vitoria and hope to win that game.
