The most surprising game was a loss of Dutch CTO (0-1) on the court of Swedish Lulea Basket on Thursday night. Visitors were rolled over by Lulea Basket 107-63. The game without a history. Lulea Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 82 of its points in the paint compared to CTO's 38. Lulea Basket forced 19 CTO turnovers and outrebounded them 45-25 including a 35-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by CTO's players. 25 personal fouls committed by CTO helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Chastity Reed (185-89, college: UALR) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and forward Allis Nystrom (184-93, agency: ProDep Management) chipped in 25 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). At the losing side Noortje Driessen (178-99) responded with 12 points and point guard Mia Hordijk (166-0) scored 10 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. CTO's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Lulea Basket is looking forward to face Dynamo Moscow (#14) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. CTO will play against TTT Riga and is hoping to win this game.
