Regular Season Round 1: Tsmoki-Minsk - SBS Ostrava 70-60

Very expected game when Czech SBS Ostrava (0-2) was defeated on the road by Belarusian Tsmoki-Minsk (2-0) 70-60 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Tsmoki-Minsk. SBS Ostrava was better in third quarter 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tsmoki-Minsk dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to SBS Ostrava's 30. They outrebounded SBS Ostrava 41-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. Center Viktoryia Hasper (192-88) stepped up and scored 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and forward Katsiaryna Rybalka (182-98) chipped in 11 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side center Anna Kubickova (188-99) responded with 9 points and 7 rebounds and Serbian point guard Ines Corda (169-95) scored 12 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tsmoki-Minsk will face Young Angels in Kosice in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. SBS Ostrava will play at home against PINKK-Pecsi (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
