Regular Season Round 1: FC Barcelona II - Caceres 64-68

Another exciting game was played in Barcelona between Caceres Basket and Barca II where Caceres Basket (1-0) beat Barca II (0-1) on the road 68-64. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 24-9. But Barca II won third quarter 21-6. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Montenegrin guard Nikola Rakocevic (191-91) who helped to win the game recording 22 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Point guard Guillermo Corrales (180-95) contributed with 10 points for the winners. Swingman Aleix Font (192-98) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and Argentinian Leandro Bolmaro (198-0) added 12 points in the effort for Barca II. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Caceres Basket will play against Oviedo CB (#13) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Barca II will play against Palencia Baloncesto and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
