The most surprising game was a loss of KFUM Jamtland (3-1) in Ostersund on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Sodertalje Kings (2-0) 100-95. KFUM Jamtland was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 27-20 charge of Sodertalje Kings, which allowed them to win the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The former international Martin Pahlmblad (195-86) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Will Magarity (211-93, college: Davidson, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. DR Congolese power forward Evariste Shonganya (204-92) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and American power forward RT Guinn (208-81, college: Baylor) added 18 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for KFUM Jamtland. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Sodertalje Kings are looking forward to face Boras Basket at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. KFUM Jamtland will play against Norrkoping Dolphins and is hoping to win this game.
