Regular Season Round 2: Scrivia - Bolzano AV 69-55

There was no surprise when Bolzano AV (0-2) was defeated on the road by Scrivia (2-0) 69-55. Scrivia dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Bolzano AV's 22. Scrivia forced 21 Bolzano AV turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The former international guard Licia Corradini (172-85, agency: LBM Management) orchestrated the victory by scoring 10 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Swingman Irene Pieropan (175-91) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Four Scrivia players scored in double figures. Scrivia's coach Fabio Pozzi allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Luxembourg forward Nadia Mossong (182-86, college: E.Kentucky) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds (perfect from downtown making all five shots) and swingman Alessia Egwoh (184-97) added 8 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Bolzano AV. Scrivia's next round opponent will be Varese (#16) on the road which should be an easy win for them. Bolzano AV will play against Costa Masnaga and hope to win that game.
