Regular Season Round 3: Kumamoto V. - Ehime OV 82-71

Everything went according to plan when Kumamoto V. (2-1) beat at home Orange Vikings (0-3) 82-71 on Saturday. Kumamoto V. looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for Dutch-Australian power forward Josh Duinker (209-89, college: Richmond) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds. Forward Mao Fukuda (192-89) helped adding 14 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American power forward Cory Johnson (202-88, college: Valparaiso) with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) scored 22 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kumamoto V. will face again Orange Vikings (#6) in Matsuyama in the next round.
