Regular Season Round 3: Tenerife Naut. - Casvi 70-57

No shocking result in a game when Tenerife Naut. (2-1) beat Casvi (0-3) in Santa Cruz de Ten. 70-57 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Tenerife Naut.. Casvi was better in fourth quarter 14-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tenerife Naut. forced 20 Casvi turnovers and outrebounded them 37-21 including a 26-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Tenerife Naut. made 7 blocks. It was a good game for Danish center Sami Eleraky (213-93, college: Pacific) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Guard Jorge Del-Pino (189-96) contributed with 10 points and 4 assists for the winners. Tenerife Naut.'s coach Santi Lucena used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Danish guard Emil Hjorth (196-96) answered with 10 points and 7 rebounds and American forward Matthew Dahlen (201-95, college: St.Martin's) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Casvi. Four Casvi players scored in double figures. Tenerife Naut. will face Zentro Basket (#16) in Madrid in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Casvi will play at home against Daimiel and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
