ToPo Juniorit (0-1) recorded a loss in Helsinki. Hosts were rolled over by Lahti (1-0) 98-74. The game without a history. Lahti led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American forward Jarred Jones (201-93, college: Loyola, MD) nailed 9 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import forward Henry Pwono (201-91, college: East Central) accounted for 16 points and 7 rebounds. Cameroonian forward Arsene Towa (191-81) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and American forward HL Coleman (202-74, college: Wyoming) added 11 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for ToPo Juniorit in the defeat. Four Lahti and five ToPo Juniorit players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lahti will play against Oulun NMKY (#6) at home in the next round. ToPo Juniorit's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Helsinki to the arena HNMKY.
