Regular Season Round 4: Monaco - Nanterre 70-64

Rather predictable result when tenth ranked Monaco (3-1) defeated at home 13th ranked Nanterre (1-3) 70-64 on Saturday. Monaco forced 20 Nanterre turnovers and outrebounded them 56-39 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Nanterre was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Hugo Voulfor (197-98) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists and Leopold Ca (208-98) who added 15 points and 16 rebounds during the contest. Four Monaco players scored in double figures. Monaco's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side guard Armand Mensah (182-99) responded with 23 points and 4 steals and guard Aboubakar Jaiteh (195-98) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Monaco moved-up to third place, which they share with 5 other teams. Loser Nanterre keeps the thirteenth position with three games lost. Monaco will face league's second-placed Gravelines on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Nanterre will play against Dijon (#3) and hope to win that game.
