Regular Season Round 2: Ponzano - Crema 52-74

The most surprising game was a loss of Ponzano (1-1) in Veneto on Saturday night. Hosts were rolled over by Team Crema (1-1) 74-52. Team Crema dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Ponzano's 30. Team Crema forced 24 Ponzano turnovers. Strangely Ponzano outrebounded Team Crema 30-17. Croatian forward Ivana Blazevic (184-93) scored 13 points to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Alice Nori (182-93) chipped in 14 points during the contest. Four Team Crema players scored in double figures. Guard Giorgia Schiavon (177-89) responded with 12 points and 6 rebounds and Anna Pizzolato (-88) scored 7 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Team Crema are looking forward to face Carugate (#11) in Corugate in the next round. Ponzano will play on the road against Bolzano BK and is hoping to win this game.
