San-en NeoPhoenix used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Kyoto 77-64 on Saturday night. San-en NeoPhoenix looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Quite impressive performance for American forward William McDonald (206-79, college: Grambling St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Robert Dozier (206-85, college: Memphis) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Zimbabwean-American Julian Mavunga (203-90, college: Miami, OH, agency: Pensack Sports) answered with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his eight free throws) and American center David Simon (208-82, college: PFW) added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Kyoto Hannar.Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. San-en NeoPhoenix will face again Kyoto Hannar. (#5) at home in the next round.
