Regular Season Round 3: Martinenc - Andorra II 85-88

Everything went according to plan when Andorra II (1-2) edged Martinenc (1-2) in Barcelona 88-85 on Saturday. Andorra II shot 24 for 32 from the free-throw line, while Martinenc only scored three points from the stripe. Andorra II had a 32-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. Martinenc was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for naturalized Andorra center Cinto Gabriel (199-87) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds. Bosnian guard Sani Campara (189-99) contributed with 28 points and 5 assists for the winners. Power forward Aitor Perez (203-88) answered with 23 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Pau Mayor (-96) added 26 points and 4 assists in the effort for Martinenc. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Andorra II will face JAC Sants in Barcelona in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Martinenc will play on the road against Palma II (#13) in S'Arenal and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
