The game in Esch was also quite interesting. Racing (3-0) played at the court of Basket Esch (1-2). Racing did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 90-73 on Saturday. Racing made 22-of-23 free shots (95.7 percent) during the game. Racing had a 25-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. American players dominated the game. It was an exceptional evening for forward Shannon Hale-Jr (203-94, college: Alabama) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds. Swingman Scott Morton (195-87, college: Geneseo St.) accounted for 22 points and 6 assists (went 12 for 12 at the free throw line !!!) for the winning side. Power forward Clancy Rugg (203-91, college: Vermont, agency: Court Side) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and swingman Jordan Hicks (201-90, college: Loyola, IL, agency: Octagon Europe) added 15 points respectively for Basket Esch in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Racing will meet T71 (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Basket Esch will play against Amicale and hope to win that game.
