Regular Season Round 4: Chalon - Boulazac 97-65

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Boulazac Basket (2-2) against fifth ranked Chalon/Saor (3-1) on Saturday night. Visiting Boulazac Basket was crushed by Chalon/Saor in Chalon 97-65. Chalon/Saor outrebounded Boulazac Basket 40-28 including 26 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. Chalon/Saor players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a very good performance for American point guard Justin Robinson (174-95, college: Monmouth) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 8 assists. The other American import guard Vincent Sanford (193-90, college: Dayton, agency: Inception Sports) contributed with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Dutch center Nicolas de-Jong (210-88) replied with 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and Canadian point guard Kenny Chery (180-92, college: Baylor) added 12 points in the effort for Boulazac Basket. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Chalon/Saor moved-up to third place, which they share with Levallois and Le Portel. Boulazac Basket at the other side dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. Chalon/Saor's next round opponent will be league's leader ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket at home and it will be for sure the game of the week. Boulazac Basket will play against Le Mans (#10) and hope to win that game.
