Date: October 6, 2018
Bottom-ranked Asker Aliens (0-3) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their third consecutive match to top-ranked Fyllingen BBK (5-0) 82-68 on Saturday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Fyllingen BBK. Asker Aliens was better in fourth quarter 21-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fyllingen BBK held Asker Aliens to an opponent 22.7 percent shooting from the field compared to 34.8 percent accuracy of the winners. Fyllingen BBK had a 27-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Evan Harris (206-86, college: Harvard) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds and Lithuanian forward Marius Sumskis (202-88) who added 14 points and 14 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side guard Ludvig Bergh (177-98) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds and guard Audrius Cesonis (-88) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Asker Aliens' coach Tommy Gundersen rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fyllingen BBK have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Gimle BBK. Loser Asker Aliens still closes the standings with three games lost. Fyllingen BBK will face Nidaros Jets (#9) in Tromdheim in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Asker Aliens will play on the road against Centrum in Oslo and look forward to get finally their first victory.
