Regular Season Round 2: Akita NH - Ryukyu GK 66-71

There was a small surprise when Ryukyu GK (2-0) defeated on the road Akita Happinets (0-2) 71-66 on Sunday. Akita Happinets were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. International guard Narito Namizato (172-89) scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Josh Scott (208-93, college: Colorado, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 13 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Point guard Shota Onodera (183-94) responded with 17 points and American power forward Justin Keenan (202-88, college: Ferris St.) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Ryukyu GK will face Diamond Dolphins in Nagoya in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Akita Happinets will play on the road against Niigata Albirex and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
