Regular Season Round 3: Mataro Feimat - Castellbisbal 80-71

Mataro Feimat used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Castellbisbal 80-71 on Sunday night. The hosts trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 9 points. Mataro Feimat outrebounded Castellbisbal 36-15 including a 26-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Mataro Feimat especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. It was a good game for Jaume Sole (195-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward David Romero (191-90) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Marc Manes (196-86) answered with 22 points and center Gerard Galbete (204-88) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Castellbisbal. Four Castellbisbal players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Mataro Feimat will face Tarragona (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Castellbisbal will play against Calvia (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
