Regular Season Round 4: Shinshu BW - Aomori Watts 97-74
Date: October 7, 2018
Undefeated leader Shinshu BW recorded the fourth consecutive victory. This time they crushed bottom-ranked Aomori Watts (0-4) 97-74 in Nagano. Shinshu BW made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Aomori Watts' players. The winners were led by American Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists and the other American import center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) supported him with 30 points and 7 rebounds. Even 35 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds by American forward Cullen Russo (206-94, college: Fresno St.) did not help to save the game for Aomori Watts. Lithuanian power forward Julius Jucikas (205-89, agency: Octagon Europe) added 19 points for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Shinshu BW have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record, which they share with Hiroshima D. and Cyberdyne IR. Aomori Watts at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Shinshu BW's next round opponent will be Bambitious Nara (#4) at home. Aomori Watts will play against Yamagata and look forward to get finally their first victory.
