Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tokyo: Toyota Alvark (#2) and Hitachi Sunrockers (#4). Toyota Alvark (2-0) won against visiting Hitachi Sunrockers (0-2) 87-79. The best player for the winners was American forward Jawad Williams (204-83, college: N.Carolina) who scored 19 points. The other American import center Alex Kirk (211-91, college: N.Mexico, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. Five Toyota Alvark players scored in double figures. American Ryan Kelly (211-91, college: Duke) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and Canadian center Robert Sacre (213-89, college: Gonzaga) added 19 points respectively for the guests. Hitachi Sunrockers' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
