There was no surprise when 5th ranked Yamagata (1-3) was defeated at home by second ranked Shimane Magic (3-1) 73-68 on Sunday. American-Panamanian forward Gyno Pomare (203-86, college: San Diego) fired a double-double by scoring 29 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Venezuelan center Gregory Echenique (206-90, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 18 rebounds. American-Irish swingman Will Hanley (201-90, college: Bowdoin, agency: Duran International) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists and Nigerian forward Chukwudiebere Maduabum (206-91) added 8 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively for lost side. Shimane Magic have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 3-1 record behind leader Cyberdyne IR, which they share with 4 other teams.
