Leading Correcaminos (6-2) recorded its second loss in Colon. Hosts were edged by fourth ranked Panteras (5-3) 80-77. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Correcaminos. Panteras had a 38-27 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Panteras brought some defensive toughness making 10 blocks. The winners were led by B Martinez (202) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 13 points, 19 rebounds, 5 assists and 8 blocks and Luis Dinolis (185-93, college: Broward CC) supported him with 25 points, 9 assists and 4 steals. Even 25 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists by the former international point guard Trevor Gaskins (188-89, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: Pro Sports) did not help to save the game for Correcaminos. Nicaraguan center Bartel Lopez (212-89) added 12 points, 11 rebounds and 5 blocks (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the hosts. Five Panteras and four Correcaminos players scored in double figures. Panteras moved-up to third place. Defending champion Correcaminos still keep top position with two games lost. They share it with Universitarios.
