Regular Season Round 3: UCAM Murcia - Valencia 68-81

There was a small surprise when Valencia Basket (1-2) beat on the road UCAM Murcia (0-2) 81-68 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Valencia Basket. UCAM Murcia was better in third quarter 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for American-Georgian Will Thomas (203-86, agency: Two Points) who led his team to a victory with 25 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). Montenegrin power forward Bojan Dubljevic (205-91, agency: BeoBasket) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Valencia Basket players scored in double figures. British Ovie Soko (201-91, college: Duquesne) answered with 18 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Milton Doyle (193-93, college: Loyola, IL) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for UCAM Murcia. UCAM Murcia's coach Javier Juarez rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Valencia Basket will face Blusens Monbus (#8) in Santiago de Comp in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. UCAM Murcia will play at home against Burgos (#11) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
