Regular Season Round 3: Caceres - Algeciras 56-80

We should not miss anothera road victory of Algeciras (1-0) who rolled over Caceres (0-1) by 24 points 80-56. Algeciras dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Caceres' 28. Algeciras forced 22 Caceres turnovers and had a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward Andrew Kelly (201-91, college: Alaska-Fairb.) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Naturalized Gibraltar point guard Miguel Ortega (188-91) chipped in 19 points and 4 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was Senegalese forward Vieux Kasse (198-0) who recorded 6 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Edu Chacon (180-99) added 12 points respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Algeciras' next round opponent will be Utrera (#5) at home. Caceres will play against ULB OH!TELS in La Linea and hopes to get finally their first victory.
