Regular Season Round 4: Monaco - Nanterre 75-63
Date: October 7, 2018
We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when fifteenth ranked Monaco (2-2) defeated at home 14th ranked JSF Nanterre (1-2) 75-63 on Sunday. They outrebounded JSF Nanterre 37-24 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Monaco especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international Billy Ouattara (194-92, agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 8 rebounds and international guard Paul Lacombe (190-90, agency: BeoBasket) who added 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side international Lahaou Konate (196-91) responded with 14 points and 5 rebounds and Icelandic Haukur Palsson (197-92, college: Maryland) scored 9 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Monaco moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 6 other teams. Loser JSF Nanterre keeps the fourteenth position with two games lost. Monaco will face Gravelines-Dunkerque (#9) on the road in the next round. JSF Nanterre will play against the league's second-placed JDA Dijon (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
