Regular Season Round 3: Salou - Quart 66-78

Rather expected game when Salou (1-2) lost at home to Quart (3-0) 78-66 on Sunday. Quart forced 19 Salou turnovers. It was a good game for guard Eduard Jimenez (186-84) who led his team to a victory with 16 points. Center Serra Roger (201-97) contributed with 12 points (perfect from the field making all six shots) for the winners. American Everrett Pleasant (198-92, college: Tex.A&M-Comm.) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and guard Eloi Galofre (195-87) added 21 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Salou. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Quart will face Martorell (#14) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Salou will play against Olivar (#10) in Zaragoza and hope to win that game.
