Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Tokyo: Koshigaya A. (#1) and Tokyo Cinq R. (#8). Koshigaya A. (4-0) won against visiting Tokyo Cinq R. (0-2) 91-78. Koshigaya A. players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The game was also dominated by American players. Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Kyle Richardson (201-91, college: Portland St.) contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Center Joe Wolfinger (216-85, college: Citadel) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and forward Deangelo Kirkland (203, college: Columbus St., agency: Interperformances) added 19 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Tokyo Cinq R.Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Koshigaya A. will play against Iwate Big Bulls (#5) on the road in the next round. Tokyo Cinq R.'s supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tokyo Tokyo Excel..
