Glanmire used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Kilkenny 88-76. Strangely Marble City Hawks outrebounded Glanmire 45-31 including 31 on the defensive glass. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Point guard Annaliese Murphy (165-0) stepped up and scored 29 points and 4 assists for the winners and the former international forward Casey Grace (182-92, college: Fairfield) chipped in 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks.
