A very interesting game took place in Varese. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of Germani BR (0-1) to Openjobmetis VA (1-0) 81-80 on Sunday evening. Openjobmetis VA players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Serbian swingman Aleksa Avramovic (192-94, agency: BeoBasket) fired 30 points and 6 assists for the winners. British-Canadian forward Thomas Scrubb (198-91) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds. Four Openjobmetis VA players scored in double figures. American forward Jordan Hamilton (201-90, college: Texas) produced 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and international Awudu Abass (199-93, agency: Players Group) added 17 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Openjobmetis VA's next round opponent will be Banco di Srd (#10) in Sassari and are hoping to win another game. Germani BR will play at home against Grissin Bon RE and hope to win that game.
