Regular Season Round 4: Kagawa FA - Fukushima 69-85

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Fukushima's (2-2) road victory over 5th ranked Kagawa FA (1-2) 85-69 on Sunday. Fukushima dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Kagawa FA's 30. They outrebounded Kagawa FA 36-24 including 25 on the defensive glass. Fukushima looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The game was also dominated by American players. Power forward Evan Ravenel (204-89, college: Ohio St.) fired 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Center Chris Brady (208-95, college: Monmouth) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. Fukushima's coach Tomohiro Moriyama used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida, agency: Inception Sports) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Fukushima moved-up to third place, which they share with Tokyo Z. Loser Kagawa FA dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. Fukushima will face Tokyo HT (#4) on the road in the next round. Kagawa FA will play against the league's leader Dragonflies in Hiroshima and hope to win that game.
