Regular Season Round 1: Bosco - Zadar 88-101

An interesting game was also tough home loss of Bosco in a game in Zagreb versus undefeated KK Zadar (#7) 101-88. The game was mostly controlled by KK Zadar. Bosco managed to win fourth quarter 25-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. KK Zadar dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Bosco's 50. They outrebounded Bosco 51-21 including a 22-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. KK Zadar looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Power forward Domagoj Vukovic (206-93) nailed a double-double by scoring 22 points and 17 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winning side and center Kristijan Krajina (208-90, college: Mt.St.Mary's) accounted for 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Mladen Primorac (210-90, agency: PEPI SPORT) came up with 20 points and American point guard David Chavlovich (180-95, college: W.Texas A&M, agency: PEPI SPORT) added 14 points and 5 assists respectively for Bosco in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. KK Zadar will meet at home H.Analitica (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bosco will play against Gorica in Velika Gorica and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
