An interesting game was also a 23-point tough road defeat of ViVe in a game in Helsinki versus Helmi Basket (#8) 84-61. The hosts trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 51-22 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Helmi Basket dominated on the defensive end, holding ViVe to just 7 points in third quarter. They also forced 25 ViVe turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for international guard Sara Bejedi (166-0) who led the winners and scored 32 points. International center Awak Kuier (194-1) accounted for 9 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. American swingman Donnaizha Fountain (183-95, college: Seton Hall, agency: Gamble Sports Management) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 18 rebounds and the other American import forward Alisia Jenkins (186-94, college: S.Florida) added 11 points and 10 rebounds respectively for ViVe in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Helmi Basket will meet Espoo Team (#4) on the road in the next round. ViVe will play against Peli-Karhut and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
